If the person in whatever army was ever awarded the Medal of Honor it would be the most highest award in the hole world. Only because the person that puts it around your neck is the president of the United States . And the president salutes you when he is done putting the medal around your neck. And you will be a hero to others around you and influence young boys and girls to be like you one day. Being a Medal of Honor you will be respected every were you go in life. These are some of the feeling of getting the Medal of Honor; it is something to be proud of.
What I think the Congressional Medal of Honor means to me is that it is the highest award that any person that is a soldier, sailors, airman, marine and coast guard
could ever receive. I also think that the Medal of Honor shows the commitment, bravery and actions of a person even if him or her was just doing there job. It is people like this that deserve this award. There are some soldier that put there life on the line to save other and they do not get any kind of recommendation.
What I think it takes to get awarded the Medal of Honor is something very big like risking your life for a battalion or a friend of yours. Or just doing your job and trying the best that you can. Every person that has received this medal is most likely that they did don’t plan for them to be awarded this type of special medal. This medal makes the people that get this award feel very good about them selves and that they served there country well and burrowed.
What I think about the saying (sometimes I think it was easier to win the Congressional Medal of Honor then it is to wear it?) it means that the person who got the medal wishes that he or she never got it. The person that said this quote meant the people that he worked for expected him to be a hero most of the time. And some did not like it because of the attention that they were getting from the people. And there has been times were a person that was going to receive the Medal of Honor and has denied it because they thought they were just doing what they were suppose to.

Dear major Bruce P. Crandall I am writing this letter to thank you for the things you have done for this nation. Your services for this nation has helped in many ways like you saved many people, have been an inspiration to others. You sacrifice has benefited me personally because people like you have given us a chance to stand up for what we believe in and go for what we think is right. Another thing that you did that benefited me was that you never gave up going back and fort in your helicopter even under intense enemy fire. That tells me to never give up no mater what I am doing whether it is fiscally or mentally. Once again I just want to thank you for all that you have done for our country. I hope that when god does take you which hopefully not that your name will be remembered for the entire remarkable thing you have done for us.
Sincerely, Jesus Hernandez
